This is a good practice. I don't have experience with any other periodontist, but my care here has been courteous and warm, and so far, my treatment is working. The hygienist there is fantastic; I just love her. She is empathetic and knowledgeable, as good with people as with teeth and gums.

I recently visited Dr. Sun @ Albuquerque Periodontal and Implant Specialist for a molar extraction to begin the prep for an implant. I was very pleased with the customer service I received from Dr. Sun and the staff. Dr. Sun made the molar extraction as painless as possible. Dr. Sun provided me with very specific procedures to take care of the surgical area. And, Dr. Sun even followed up with me a few days after the procedure - which meant a lot to me. The surgery area healed well. I am very happy that I chose Dr. Sun for this procedure.

This was my first experience with a periodontist and best exam I have ever had in all my years of going to the dentist! There is something very calming about Dr. Sun and my teeth believe he has the skill to really help . He was excellent at not just showing me the issues with my teeth but explained everything in a very easy way to understand him. And, his assistant was awesome! I believe his name was Nathan ( sorry if incorrect ) but he really was great in easing my nerves and also explaining everything to me AND i hate x-rays but the way he took them was the best ever. They were unable to reach Perfect Teeth to have them send my previous x-rays to them so what they did is take more x-rays and not charge me….how awesome was that! Bad thing….. they are out of network for me but Ashley was super nice in explaining cost to me!

Update: so deep cleaning complete. Splinting of my front teeth complete. My teeth and gums feel great! The dentist and his hygienists work awesome together. I always hate the feeling of gagging but these hygienists were superb ! Now wait 6 weeks and hope for the best!

A top notch experience today with Dr. Sun and his team of professionals. Osseous surgery on 2 quadrants (upper and lower molar regions) was surprisingly quick and mostly painless. Dr. Sun is a very skillful and experienced periodontist. His assisting team also make the patient feel at ease with their professionalism and abilities. An excellent choice for periodontal needs.

I was referred to Dr. Sun for a periodontal evaluation. Dr. Sun evaluated that my periodontal disease was being treated correctly.
During the evaluation , he observed my rear molar had evidence of teeth grinding\clenching. He performed a minor adjustment of my back molar.
For years I had been experiencing back molar pain, learned to live with the throbbing pain.
Dr. Sun exam, questions about my dental health and minor adjustment resolved years of pain.
My quality of life has remarkably improved: more restful sleep, eating meals is more enjoyable, and no more throbbing pain.

They take really good care of you.
The receptionist was very friendly & welcoming. She went over the whole plan with me & the costs involved. She made it easy to understand.
You don't come across this great service very often. I am so happy I was referred here.

Dr. Sun did an extensive procedure today. I feel very comfortable in his practice. Everyone is so kind. That really makes a difference. They take good care of you. The nurse gave me detailed instructions for after surgery & Dr. Sun's cell # if I needed him for anything.

I live in Santa Fe and called to make an appointment with a local periodontist for a gum procedure. It was going to be a 6 month wait, and they wouldn't even file my insurance. So I decided to look in Albuquerque and found Dr. Sun. After I read all the great reviews, I decided to make an appointment with him. I'm glad I did! I had an appointment within a week. He was very professional and caring. Nathan was also very kind and helpful, as was Ashley. My trips down to Albuquerque were definitely worth it for such great care.

I just started a rather complicated treatment. The Dr and his assistant were very patient and attentive to my needs. They communicated each step of my procedure so I would be a wll informed patient. Dr Sun himself called me to see how I was doing the day after my procedure. I wish I had found them sooner. I also got a thorough cleaning the day of my first exam.
